Spring lambs!

It's been a busy weekend! There's new life bursting out all over.
I'll start with the lambs - Teddy and Tuppence, Buddy and Elvis!

You lot coming out to play?
Buddy and Elvis taking a nap
Chilly out here!
The big, wide world
I think I've got the wrong legs on
The chickens made me a lovely hole to sleep in
Please see if my lamb is in there
Hi!
Grass? Don't think I like it!
Quite like this sun stuff though
These hen holes are brilliant
More lambs? You are having a laugh!!!!

  4. Well Charley they are all feeling very frisky today having finally got the hang of their legs. Elvis and Teddy were having races along the length of the lambing shed this morning and Buddy worked out how to sit on the hay bale next to me and suck my finger.
They are far too young to be acused of being naughty yet but time will tell.

After all the stress of birthing them, make sure you take the time to enjoy them. Next time you turn around, they'll be sheep! Probably naughty sheep!

They DO look like they have the wrong trousers on! Or they've swapped legs with a bigger lamb! They are fab Sue.

    2. Thanks Beth and Karisse,

their little leggs are too long for their bodys which makes laying down kind of tricky. They have to work out a way of settling down without their back legs standing on their already folded front legs. Funny little things.

Fabulous pictures Sue. Looks like you've had a very productive Easter weekend! They are going to keep you busy for awhile yet, I think!

    1. Busy indeed, though today was the first day that the ewes and lambies all managed to walk from the lambing shed to the orchard without me having to round up the odd lamb and confused ewe and chivvy them along.

  8. I like Lambs, I went out to Calke Abbey on Easter Monday to do some photography, I always go and see the Lambs, it makes me feel that "Spring has Sprung" but it was cold and snowing. Nice pictures though

    1. It IS great to see lambs! I'm afraid that I'm still not feeling like Spring is here yet though. Even my daffys are stunted this year.

  9. That little black lamb with the white whiskers has the same naught face as your Nelly!
