Lovely pictures Sue - some of the best I have seen published this year. I can't quite make out what is perched on the top one. I admire your realism. When I started my own blog I vowed to publish pictures of my plants 'worts and all' but it is very difficult sometimes to be so honest!
I agree. Fantastic pictures Sue. Makes it feel like winter is almost over! I do love snowdrops. I don't know about realism - these are almost fairytale.
These are absolutely beautiful photos - please tell me that's a spider web on one of them! Snowdrops are my favourite plant above all others. Nothing compares to their beauty, simplicity and the incredible sense of optimism we feel when we see them braving the elements.
Thanks everyone but the credit goes to the wonderful Harry. I dont know what I admire most, the size of his lens or his bravery for laying on the cold damp ground to take them! They look like little fairy bonnets to me and the cobwebs and bits of stray vegatable matter just add to the magic.

DeleteWorts and all? Certainly not on THIS series of pictures! The early morning spiderweb is gets my vote.

ReplyDeleteI agree. They make Spring seem just around the corner. Lovely photographs - lifted the spirit.

ReplyDeleteI'm so glad that you enjoyed them. Thanks Harry.
Great atmospheric pics - love them. It's hard to take a bad picture of snowdrops, but also hard to get them looking this good.
ReplyDeleteIsn't it fantastic how such a little flower can lift the spirits so much? Even just in photographs!
